North West Maritime Limited (NWM) is a training and environmental response services company accredited by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Services Division of Trinidad & Tobago and recognized by the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries as an oil spill response organization.


With 16 years' experience, we offer over 200 Maritime-related courses in navigation, engineering, hospitality, safety, and security and bespoke courses in partnership with Seably, the world's largest online community for maritime learning. We offer Maritime and OSHA blended learning courses. With blended learning, you can shorten the time in the classroom.


Through our exclusive partnership with Lamor Corporation, we offer Tier 2 and Tier 3 oil spill response capabilities, with additional training at the OPRC Level 1 and OPRC Level 2 (IMO) courses.


NWM is the approved agent of the dispersant of choice, Dasic Slickgone NS, which is approved and recommended by the Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries of Trinidad and Tobago.

2021 Partnered with Lamor to provide training for Tullow in Oil Spill Response for their drilling campaign in Surinam.


2019 Partnered with the Corena Group of Lamor to assist in training vessel crews in Oil Spill Response and mobilizing

         spill response equipment leased by Repsol and Tullow for their drilling campaigns in Guyana.  North West

         Offshore Services also provided standby oil spill response services in Trinidad for the duration of their drilling.


2019 appointed local agent for Lamor of Finland one of the world's largest manufacturers of Oil Spill Response               

          equipment and a major oil spill response and waste management company internationally.


2017 partnered with The Corena Group of Lamor offering Oil Spill Response Services in Trinidad and Tobago.


2018 contracted by the Ministry of Energy to respond to a major oil spill off the West Coast of Trinidad.


2018 North West Maritime was approved as an RSO (Recognised Security Organization) under ISPS by the Ministry of              Transport Maritime Services Division. 


2018 North West Maritime Limited achieved flag state approval as Training Center 009 to conduct designated STCW

          and SCV courses by the Ministry of Transport Maritime Services Division of Trinidad and Tobago.  


2016 North West Offshore Services Limited sought and received approval to market and sell Dasic Slickgone

          Dispersant which is approved by the Ministry of Energy.


2016 Contracted by Petrotrin to respond to a major oil spill at the refinery at Point a Pierre


2010 Partnered with Isthmus Training Institute of Panama offering STCW training to the Caribbean becoming a                          Regional Training Institute. 


2011 North West Maritime Limited is recognised and listed as a Technical Training Provider for Maritime Courses by                the National Training Agency of Trinidad and Tobago.


2008 Oil Spill Response was added to our list of service offerings.  We have worked with Canadian Superior, Petrotrin,              Petro Canada, Repsol Trinidad and EOG Resources.  We have been involved in responding to some of the Major              Oil Spills which have occured in Trinidad and Tobago and are listed as an Oil Spill Response Organization by the              Ministry of Energy.


2008 North West Offshore Services Limited formed as subsidary of North West Maritime Limited to provide,

          environmental response services, crewing services for vessel operators,  including sourcing and placing well

          trained and certified professionals for clients.


2007 Trained 90% of the Captains and Mates of The Water Taxi Service of Trinidad and Tobago operating between Port

          of Spain and San Fernando. 


2007 Partnered with Starpath School of Navigation to compliment our STCW and Maritime training.
